的 ag亚游集团App下载’s Alcohol Safety and Awareness Program (NMT ASAP) is dedicated to preventing alcohol and opioid abuse in our community through education, especially focused on 未成年人饮酒, and using prescription opioids.

We aim to increase protective behaviors and decrease negative consequences associated with alcohol and drug use in our community as well as promote life-long healthy attitudes and behaviors regarding alcohol, illicit drugs and prescription drugs in an effort to make academic retention, success, and graduation the norm.

Our goal is to educate the NMT and Socorro Communities about alcohol and drug issues that affect local communities aa well as our 校园 by:

Increasing the capacity of the coalition to address the prevention of 未成年人饮酒 and prescription painkiller 滥用 among youth 还有年轻人 at NMT and the Socorro 社区.
Strengthening the coalition structure and membership through outreach programs, activity committees, and orientation packets.
Increasing the readiness of ag亚游集团App下载 and Socorro community members to address the prevention of 未成年人饮酒 and prescription painkiller 滥用 among youth 还有年轻人.
Identifying and resolving obstacles of substance abuse prevention and increase support for substance abuse prevention efforts by collaborating with other agencies, leveraging resources, and sharing successful outcomes.

Our strategies include such effort as: publicizing law enforcement activities and enforcement of laws related to alcohol 滥用, creating media that advertises the legal consequences of providing alcohol to a minor (fourth degree felony), increasing awareness of the harm associated with prescription drug 滥用, developing and coordinating party patrols, educating on proper storage and disposal of prescription drugs, and strengthening 政策 on 校园 related to alcohol tobacco and other drug (ATOD) 滥用.

的方巡逻 Action Team works to raise the perception of risk when it comes to 未成年人饮酒. It is a police entity tasked with breaking up parties and deterring parties in the future. This is accomplished through a police-led party patrol active on likely “party dates” in the community to target and break up large parties. 的 party patrol action team compiles lists of likely dates and locations where/when parties may occur and advertises police activity to increase awareness.

的媒体/通讯 Action Team uses media resources to accomplish various grant strategies such as: increasing awareness of prescription painkiller harm & 潜在的 for addiction, increasing awareness of dangers of sharing prescription painkillers, educating on how to store and dispose of prescription drugs safely, raising awareness of enforcement activities (checkpoints, party patrols等), increasing awareness of 4th degree felony and social host ordinances等.

的 Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) Policy and Compliance Action Team meets to discuss gaps in NMT’s current Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs (ATOD) policy, 创建政策 that will address those gaps, and holds meetings with key stakeholders (Administration, Campus Police, Student groups, Residential life等.) to discuss policy changes on 校园
